Our Christmas Nativity

Every year as long as I can remember, for Christmas Eve we have a family program with singing and talents and stories. But the best part is the story of the birth of our Savior. My mom would help us kids dress up, then my dad would read the story of Jesus' birth from the bible as we would act it out. It was always my favorite part of christmas. We would do it even as adults! Once we had grandchildren in the family, they were able to carry on the tradition that I was so fond of as a child. It is so sweet to watch! As Chuck reads the story from the bible, and the kids act it out, I can't but help have such wonderful memories of my dad, and how he was so much like our Savior. I'm so thankful for a wonderful family and their great examples to me!

The Glorious angel!

Sabrina was the angel (turned hippie) this year. it reminded me of when she was about 4 years old and before the traditional christmas program the kids had gotten out the halloween costumes and Sabrina was dressed up like a vampire. When it came time to do the program she refused to take off the vampire costume and put on the traditional nativity costume, so that year in the nativity we had "the christmas vampire" It was hilarious! Sabrina always keeps us smiling!

Mary and baby Jesus

Little Brett was our baby Jesus this year. Notice his swadling clothes :)

The Three Wise Men

Our little shonkey!

For the nativity Violet wanted to be a sheep and a donkey, so here is our little shonkey! Isn't she the cutest!

Temple Square

Temple Square

Last night we went to SLC with Kade and Ciara to do a session at the Temple and see the lights. It was kinda hectic getting there, with crazy traffic and there were 3 other events going on, so it took us about an hour and a half to find a place to park! We finally made it into the Temple 15 minutes before the last session was starting. It was such an amazing night. I love being in the Temple. I can't but help think about my dad, and also Sam and how grateful I am that families can be together forever! The lights were so beautiful also. I love this time of year and am so grateful for the birth and life of our Saviour.

Thank you Sam for such and amazing night! I love you forever! We'd also like to wish all our family and friends a Merry Christmas and hope that you will all feel the love of our Saviour in your lives this holiday season and throughout the year. We love you all so much!

Baptism weekend

Saturday was baptism day!
Our nephew Thomas(on my side), and our neice Kelcey(on Sam's side) both got baptised. It was such a special, awesome day! It reminded me of my baptism day and how special I felt and how happy I was. It is one of my greatest memories about my dad.

Since I started dating Sam, my nephew Thomas fell in love with him. He stole my place as favorite! When Thomas's parents asked him who he wanted to speak at his baptism he said, "SAM!!! IT HAS TO BE SAM!!!" So since I'm married to Sam I got suckered into speaking by default :) It was such a great experience though, and I am so flattered that Thomas loves us so much he would let us be a part of his special day.

After Thomas was baptised in the morning, we headed to Moroni for Kelcey's baptism. It was also so great. Kelcey is such a little sweetheart and you could just feel the spirit so strong when you looked into her smiling eyes.

We are so lucky to have such amazing families and the gospel in our lives. It was so good to be reminded of the simple pleasures in life this weekend and so good to be with our loving families

A little hike...

The weather has been so crazy!!!! Last Sauturday was so nice I wanted to get outside and get our blood flowing while the weather was still good. We went up South Fork in Provo Canyon to a little trail to Big Springs. It felt so good to be outside, but as we got higher it started to get a little cold. I'm sure this hike would be gorgeous in the spring or fall, but it was still fun to see the frozen branches down in the stream, and so good just to be out in nature. What an amazing world we have!

As close as I could get to Camo...

Sam turned the big 2 7 on November 5th!

Happy Birthday Sam!!!

Me and Sam have such different work schedules that sometimes I feel like my poor husband doesn't know who his wife is :( So I decided to surprise him for his birthday. We both worked that day, and usually get home at 7 pm then he has to go to bed at 8:30 so he can get up at 3:30 am to go to work. I came home early from work to surprise Sam and decorated the house in as close as I could find to camo (black, brown, and green crepe paper and balloons) and made his favorite dinner Lasagna. I also made him a little video of pictures of us to music. He was SOOOO surprised and so happy! It was a much needed day for both of us! Happy birthday again Sam! I love you more than anything- even shopping and shoes :)

As for me, ( Sam ) I always beleived in the theory of, THE ONE! There was only one women out their and nobody else. Many people dissagree with this theory and to each their own. But as for me, I found the women that is more than anything I every even dreamed of!!! I have never met someone who is so perfect in everyway. She always puts me and everyone else first. And there is nothing she wouldnt do. I love you with all of my heart Stacia and thank you for everything you are!!!!
